Let’s get cozy.
Happy weekend! Who else is in need of a relaxing weekend? Fall is that time of year when I love staying in, cuddled up with my favorite leopard blanket, maybe some homemade hot chocolate in hand ( should I do a post on my recipe for healthy hot cocoa? ), and watch festive movies. Ugh, heaven. So, I figured today would be the perfect day to share my fall movie guide to add some fall festivity to your weekend!
Halloween movies, grab your BOO:
Hocus Pocus. My all time FAV. It’s not fall without watching this classic Halloween favorite. Love me some Sanderson Sisters!
Nightmare Before Christmas. This movie reminds me of Disneyland every time. The Haunted Mansion is a must-see during Halloween-time at Disney. A few years back, I did my Halloween mani Nightmare Before Christmas theme, I’ve never received so many compliments on my nails, I’ll share in another post soon!
The Adam’s Family. I mean, common! Fun fact, Wednesday Adams and I both have the widow’s peak going on. I used to really not like my widow’s peak ( I even shaved it off at one point if I’m being honest ), now I’ve learned to own it!
Casper. Because who doesn’t love a friendly ghost?
Hotel Transylvania. Such a cute, lighthearted animation. It just gives you the warm and fuzzies, ya know?
Young Frankenstein. It’s fun to see where all things Frankenstein began!
Scream. This is less cozy and more scary, but a must-see during Halloween time! That mask used to be the scariest thing back in the day!
Nightmare on Elm Street. Another scary classic!
Dark Shadows. Another Tim Burton film, a good horror comedy to keep things light and fun, no nightmares happening after this one.
Fall festive movies:
Notting Hill. An absolute MUST. It’s the perfect rom-com for your girl’s night-in, fall style.
Matilda. OMG! Remember Matilda? The chocolate cake scene is one of the best. I must have something chocolate-y during that scene, it’s essential.
Harry Potter. So here’s my thing. I like Harry Potter, but only during fall. It gives me all the fall feels this time of year. Maybe it’s all the wizardry, maybe all the fog, maybe the bundled outfits.
Big Daddy. Okay so this movies takes place during autumn in New York, and the trick-or-treating scene with Adam Sandler is SO funny. Like, must-see if you haven’t already. One of my favorite movies all year round.
So tell me, which movies will you be watching this festive fall weekend? Do you have any fall movies to share? Leave a comment below and give me the details! Tonight, I plan to watch Hocus Pocus, maybe even bake something pumpkin?
